Whether you are hunting in the wilderness or exploring in the wild, it's important to have a method of hunting in the wild. The hunters can be fully loaded and explorers can meet themselves when there is no food crisis.
One, wild hunting
Wild animals are an important source of food for people in distress. When in distress, even if there are food rations and edible plants are collected, it is still necessary to use natural edible animals as much as possible. The types of animals that are edible in nature include beasts, fish, birds, reptiles (such as snakes, lizards, snails, etc.), and large insects (such as grasshoppers, ants, etc.). These animals are rich in nutrition.
Second, find the trail of prey
The first thing to look for is where the animals are found: footprints, excrement, cross places, drinking places, etc. The traces of the prey often go to springs, creeks, lakes, feeding places and shelters.
The most important thing is to identify whether the footprint is fresh or old. It is not difficult to determine foot prints in winter because of the snow, the new footprints are always well-defined, and there are small jagged edges on the footprints; loose snow, along with small snow masses on both sides of the footprints. Footprints of birds and small animals form small nests because of cold, fresh and scattered, and even two-fingered gloves; and old footprints form ice flowers at low temperatures. In moist soil, the freshness of the footprint is also determined by whether or not the outline is clear. There is often a small amount of water in the fresh foot prints, often shining in the sunlight, but after 1 or 2 days, it is dull and dark, and the water in the foot prints gradually disappears. On summer mornings, fresh droplets often leave behind drops of dew, and the sun evaporates as soon as the sun sets.

In general, bears leave clear traces of the relatively clean areas of open grass, such as seeds of leftover berries, feces containing small animals, and squirrels or earth-pullers in areas where bears have stayed.
In the desert, animals can be found near the water, long grass canyons, lowlands or riverbeds. Such as rabbits, pheasants, desert fox, coyotes, desert sheep and so on. In general, animals always go to the waterside and grass at sunrise to fill their stomachs as quickly as possible. When the weather is hot, they live in seclusion. At dusk, they return to the shelter or the surrounding caves. On a bright moonlight night, the animals came out for food. Therefore, the best time to hunt is early morning and dusk. At this time, there are not only many animals, but they are also easily found near water sources, vacant lands, and mountain tops. Stormy weather prey will find places hidden, difficult to hunt.
