The National Rifle Association recently partnered with MetaMedia Training International, Inc., to create a Basics of Pistol Shooting DVD. The DVD comes with a user manual and addresses the proper way to operate, clean and select a pistol for a variety of shooting activities, as well as pistol types, safety, ammunition, fundamentals of shooting, first shots, scoring, purchasing, firearms care, and continuing education.

 Designed for both individuals and classroom instruction, the Basics of Pistol Shooting provides viewers with the proper attitude and knowledge required for firearm ownership.The Basics of Pistol Shooting training DVD is now available for purchase from the NRA Program Materials Center or by calling 1-800-336-7402 and asking for item #30640. In recent years, MetaMedia Training and the NRA have collaborated to develop a wide range of education and training programs including Personal Protection Outside the Home, Refuse To Be A Victim, and The Lure of Muzzle Loading.
