Benelli Legacy 28
Last year’s SHOT Show saw Benelli introduce the revolutionary Vinci shotgun, which lived up to the months of pre-release hype. This year Benelli pulled out all the stops to bring us the Legacy 28. At just under five pounds, it is billed as the lightest semi-automatic shotgun on the market. Watch as Benelli Vice President of Marketing Steve McKelvain tells American Hunter Managing Editor Jeff Johnston how they did it.
Browning Citori Lightning
Browning has expanded their over/under legacy with the Citori Lightning. The Citori Lightning has high-gloss walnut stocks and rich blued barrels with high-relief engraving on the receiver. It comes with a single, selective trigger, hammer ejectors and a selector/safety button in 12, 20, 28-and .410 gauges with three choke tubes and a recoil pad on the 12-gauge version.
Winchester SXP
Winchester Repeating Arms is offering rugged reliability with its SXP pump-action shotgun. The SXP handles 2 3/4- and 3-inch loads through its chrome-plated back-bored barrel and its Invector-Plus chokes ensure exellent pattern consistency. Built for hard-hunting waterfowlers, the SXP comes with a composite stock and fore-end and a non-glare matte finish in 26- and 28-inch barrel lengths.
Beretta A400 Xplor
Beretta has dubbed the A400 Xplor Unico: “The fastest shotgun in the world,” because of its “Kick-Off Cubed” recoil and “Blink” gas systems, which allows even heavy loads to be fast and manageable. Its green aluminum-alloy receiver, X-tra grain oil-finish walnut stock and redesigned fore-end give it a futuristic look. The Xplor Unico weighs in at just over 6 pounds with a 28-inch barrel and comes with a drop spacers kit to change stock drop and three Optima-Choke HP chokes.
Mossberg Lightning Pump Action Trigger
O.F Mossberg & Sons has improved its trigger on certain pump-shotgun models with their new Lightning Pump Action trigger system. The new system offers a crisp, creep-free pull and is adjustable to a very light 3 pounds. For 2010, the Lightning Pump Action trigger will be available on select 535, 500 and 835 Slugster and turkey model shotguns.
